Map setup matters more than people think
You’ll get much better results if the map is prepared properly. Tier 15 Waystones are the usual target, ideally with six modifiers that push monster rarity, pack strength, or monster effectiveness. Tablets help a lot too. Irradiated Tablets, Overseer Tablets, or any tablet that improves item rarity can turn an average Expedition into something worth talking about. On the Atlas Tree, Evolutionary Pressure is a strong pickup because it rewards you for running juiced maps. Don’t brick your expensive logbooks
There’s one mistake that catches people out, and it’s painful. Refined Formula also affects Grand Expeditions inside logbooks. That’s bad news, because logbooks are built around careful multi-explosive routing. You want to uncover caves, ruins, reward chests, and special encounters, not waste the whole layout with one oversized blast. Before running Uncharted Waters, remove the single-explosive passive.
